Yorkshire vs Lancashire returns! Legends collide in War of the Roses

On Wednesday 30 August, the Rugby League War of the Roses returns at Headingley Carnegie Stadium as part of Ryan Hall’s Testimonial.

The match will see two star-studded teams from yesteryear come together, with the Yorkshire Legends captained by Jamie Peacock and the Lancashire team led by Adrian Morley.

It promises to be a great occasion as the White Rose County are coached by Ryan Hall, with the team featuring household names such as Keith Senior, Kylie Leuluai and Robbie Hunter-Paul.

Sam Tomkins will coach the Lancashire side which includes the likes of Barrie McDermott, Martin Gleeson, Paul Wellens, Sean Long, Iestyn Harris and Gary Connolly.

Their playing days might be behind them, but both sets of players will be doing everything to ensure their County comes out on top and gains the War of the Roses bragging rights.

Proudly sponsored kbins, the event is also supported by Rugby League Cares, Oddballs, Austin Wilkinson Transport and Rugby AM.

Tickets for the game are just £10 Adults, £5 concessions and £3 juniors. They are available to purchase at the Headingley Carnegie Stadium club store, online at or over the phone on 0371 423 1315.
